Windjammer Internet Service & Support

To give you smooth sailing we offer customer service & tech support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We can answer your questions about any problems or concerns about your High Speed Internet service. Just give our Windjammer Customer Service representatives a call at  888-495-2881 .

The first thing a technician or Customer Service representative will want to know is what kind of computer equipment and operating system you have. It will help for you to know the basic requirements needed to use Windjammer High Speed Internet:

PC Requirements:

  • Windows 2000/XP operating system
  • Pentium-class or equivalent processor with 450 MHz (800 MHz or more recommended)
  • 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended)
  • 300 MB free hard drive space (500 MB recommended)
  • Ethernet card with RJ45 connector or open USB port
  • Internet Explorer 6.X browser
  • CD-ROM drive  (sound card and speakers recommended)

Macintosh Requirements:

  • OSX10.2 operating system or above
  • PowerPC or Intel Dual-Core Processor
  • 32 MB phuysical RAM with Virtual Memory set for at least 40 MB (64 MB recommended)
  • 300 MB free hard drive space (500 MB recommended)
  • Ethernet card with RJ45 connector, open slot or USB port
  • Safari 1.x browser
  • CD-ROM drive (sound card and speakers recommended)

You should note that your computer system, as well as some broadband services may take resources beyond the minimum standards noted above.

Supported Software
Windjammer supports the software programs that you received when your service was installed, or that you have downloaded from the Windjammer site. The list will expand and change as new versions are released so you should check often. You can also get basic technical support for several plug-ins needed to access information on some sites, including:

  • Apple Quick Time
  • Windows MediaPlayer
  • Macromedia Shockwave
  • Macromedia Flash Player
  • IPIX Viewer Plug-in

The officially-supported browser for Windjammer High Speed Internet Service is Internet Explorer, but we make an effort to also support Netscape 6.x and 7.x (both Windows and Mac) and RealPlayer. Our support representatives will help as much as possible, but please note that Windjammer does not officially support them.

We suggest that you may want to check with software manufacturers for additional tech support if you need it and if our representatives at  888-495-2881  have not been able to help.
